Yousra.. an icon of talent, art and beauty

An Egyptian artist whose real name is Sevin Mohamed Hafez Naseem. She was born on March 10, 1955 in Cairo. She graduated in 1973 with a G.C.E.
Yousra began her artistic career in the 1970s by participating in the films “A Thousand and One Kiss” and the film “A Girl Looking for Love” in 1977, after director of photography Abdel Halim Nasr discovered her talent.
Yousra experimented with singing in some of her films, and some of her most famous songs are “Jet Al-Hararah,” “Randevo,” “Dantella,” and “Fadhi,” which she released in two albums.
She also participated in the operetta “Jerusalem Will Return to Us.” She performed a duet with the artist Abu entitled “3 Daqat.”
Yousra presented a television program in 2010 called “In Arabic.” The experiment was repeated again in 2017 through the “Al-Ma’wid” program. Finally, she presented the “Kalam Fel Hob” program in 2022.
In 2006, Yousra was chosen as a Goodwill Ambassador for the Middle East and North Africa region by the United Nations Development Programme. She was also appointed a Goodwill Ambassador by the Joint United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS in 2016.
Yousra was selected as a jury member in a group of international and Arab festivals, including the Academy Awards, the Italian Taormina Film Festival, the Carthage Film Festival, the Doha Film Festival, and the Marrakesh Film Festival.
She was also a member of the jury in many Egyptian festivals, including the El Gouna Film Festival and the Sharm El Sheikh International Film Festival. She is also the first Egyptian woman to chair the international jury in the history of the Cairo International Film Festival.
3 of the films in which Yousra participated were selected on the list of the 100 best films in the history of Egyptian cinema. These films are “An Egyptian Story,” “The Avocado,” and “The Migrant.”
Personal life
Yousra was the only daughter of her parents, but she did not have a happy childhood after they separated. She was married twice, the first to the Palestinian businessman Fadi Al-Safadi, and the second to Khaled Saleh Selim, the son of the Egyptian Al-Ahly club player Saleh Selim, and the older brother of the artist Hisham Selim.
Her marriage did not produce any children. Yousra's uncle is Mohamed Naseem, a former Egyptian General Intelligence officer and a member of the Egyptian Free Officers Organization.
