Biography

 

Rogena, full name Rogena Amin Ammar, is an Egyptian actress born on April 16, 1973, in Faqus City, Sharqia Governorate. She graduated from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts with a major in Acting and Directing.

 

She began her artistic career in the early nineties while studying at the institute. She participated in minor roles in many television series. Her breakthrough came after her participation in the series "The Family" in 1994.

 

She subsequently achieved great success by participating in many distinguished drama works, including: "Money and Sons, Nights of Al-Hilmiya, Ladies Of Garden City, Tales of a Modern Couple, Canary and Partners, Yacoubian Building, Between the Palaces, The Legend, Kafr Delhab, Hand Cuffs, The Prince, Daughter of the Sultan, Women's Stratagem".

 

Unlike television, her roles in cinema were few, the most notable of which was the film "The Destiny" directed by Youssef Chahine.

 

This was followed by various films such as: "48 Hours in Israel, Day of Dignity, On the Side, My Beloved, Joy, Forced Escape, Karmouz War".

 

Personal Life

 

Rogena is married to the theatrical director and president of the Actors Syndicate, the artist Ashraf Zaki, whom she met during her studies at the institute, where he was the head of the student union and a lecturer at the institute.

 

She has two daughters with him, "Maryam" and "Maya," who recently decided to enter the world of directing after studying acting and directing at the Cinema Institute.
