The Biography
The Egyptian actress's full name is Nahid Medhat Sebaei. Born on May 27, 1987, in Cairo Governorate.
She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from the October University of Arts and Sciences.
Then she studied acting and directing at the Higher Institute of Cinema and studied acting at the workshop of the artist Mohamed Sobhi.
Nahed Al-Sebaei began her artistic career when she was a prominent 7-year-old child, thanks to her small contribution with a role in the television evening “Nouna El-Shanouna” in 1994.
She cut it short and returned years later and participated in another role in the movie “From the Look of an Eye” in 2003 when she was 16 years old.
Her success came, with the movie “Speak, Scheherazade” in 2009. Then after that, she started in a number of independent cinematic works, such as: “678,” “18 Days, an Hour and a Half,” “After the Battle,” “A Day for Women,” “Forbidden Body,” “The Crime of Immobilia,” “Mako.” and “18b".
On television, she played a distinctive role in a group of different series, starting with the series “The Edge of the Knife” in 2003, then the series “Female Cry,” “Al-Hara,” “Al-Jami’a,” “Vertigo,” “Muslislico,” “A Girl Named Zat,” “Saraya Abdeen,” “The Seven Commandments,” “Estefa,” “Heba Regl Al-Ghurab,” The 18th wife, the kingdom of Satan, the final one, enlightened by her family, every week a story, the loudest.”
Nahed El Sebaei was chosen as a member of the jury of several festivals, including the Sousse International Children’s Film Festival in Tunisia 2019, the Cairo International Film Festival 2021, and the Cairo Francophone Film Festival 2021.
Personal Life
Nahid Sibai grew up in a rich artistic family, as she is the granddaughter of the artist Farid Shawqi and the artist Hoda Sultan, the daughter of the director, Medhat El-Sibai, and the producer, Nahid Farid Shawqi.
Moreover, her aunt is the artist Rania Farid Shawqi. Nahid Sibai got married to businessman Mohamed Abd Rabbo, in September 2018. However, she canceled her wedding and announced her breakup a few hours before the wedding.
