The Biography

 

Lebanese actress and presenter, whose full name is Madeleine Tabar Al-Khoury. Born on February 26, 1958, in Beirut.

 

After graduating from the Faculty of Mass Communication in 1982, she worked as a journalist in the Lebanese Al-Shabaka magazine and as a presenter on Lebanese radio and television.

 

Then she began her artistic career by participating in a movie called “Women’s Game.” She continued to present many cinematic films in Lebanon and Syria, most notably the film “Kafroun” with the Syrian artist Duraid Lahham in 1990.

 

She then traveled to Egypt to appear as a guest star in Fawazir’s “Married People in History” by artist Samir Ghanem, in addition to some small roles in a group of series and films.

 

Until her real artistic breakthrough came by participating in the movie “The Road to Eilat,” which was the reason for her fame in Egypt and the Arab world.

 

After that, she participated in a group of films, including: “Mohtaram Ela Ruba’, Haram Street, Reklam, Bartita, and Nabil Al-Jamil, Beauty Specialist.”

 

Television drama also had the largest share of her artistic works, in which she presented series such as:

 

“Confused Hearts,” “Years of Misery and Love,” “The Face of the Moon,” “Zezinia,” “Mahmoud Al-Masry,” “The Vegetable Market,” “Hanan and Hanin,” “Rish Naam,” “Ahl al-Hawa,” “His Excellence,” “Afaret Mahrez.” Haq Min, One Thousand and One Nights, Al-Daher, The Other Side, A Secret File.

 

Madeline Tabar worked for a period of her life in dubbing animated series, including: “The Little Traveler, Lubna the Fast, Calimero, and The Adventures of Nils.”

 

Madeleine Tabar was selected as a jury member in many festivals, including Malmö Arab Film Festival 2016, Oran International Arab Film Festival 2017, Casablanca Arab Film Festival 2019, Cinemana Arab Film Festival 2021, Rakoda Asian Film Festival 2022.



Personal Life

 

At the beginning of er life, the artist Madeleine Tabar was married to the cameraman for Lebanon Television, Andre El Khoury. He was 15 years older than her, as she was eighteen years old at the time.

 

She broke up with him after she discovered that he was cheating on her with another artist. She then married Ali Fayyad, brother of the Lebanese journalist Jamal Fayyad, from whom she also separated. She did not have any children.
