Biography

Hussein Fahmy is an Egyptian actor of Circassian origins. Born on March 22, 1940 in Cairo. He was born into an aristocratic family. His grandfather, Muhammad Pasha Fahmi, was President of the Shura Council, while his father, Mahmoud Pasha Fahmi, was Secretary of the Shura Council. His grandmother is Amina Hanem Al-Manastarli, owner of Al-Manastarli Rest House.

• Hussein Fahmy obtained a bachelor’s degree in directing from the Higher Institute of Cinema in 1963, then traveled to the United States of America to complete his studies. He obtained a degree in film directing from the Pasadena Institute at the University of California.
