She became a professional belly dancer in high school when she was only fifteen years old when she joined Reda’s performance group.

In addition to belly dancing, Dina began her acting career in 1986, participating in the movie “Al-Bondira.” Then she continued her career by participating in many films, including: “Tears of Her Majesty,” “The Mansi,” “The Nutshell,” “Estacoza,” “Ibn Ezz,” “Alia Al-Tarab Beltalata,” “Black Honey,” “Sons of the Country,” “Al-Haram Street,” “Abdo Mota,” “Hatouli Ragel,” “Ash Al-Bulbul,” “The Last Rooster in Egypt".

She also continued her artistic career by performing various roles in television dramas, including the series: “Return My Heart,” “Egyptian Leaves,” “Raya and Sakina,” “The Nightingale,” “Very Special,” “Nouna al-Ma’zouna,” “Bab al-Khalq,” “Pharaoh,” “Ahl al-Hawa,” “Our Lord the Lover,” “Bucharest Alleys,” “Crisis of Lineage,” “The Flood,” Al-Harbaya, Eagle of Upper Egypt, Rahim, The Godfather, Behind Every Door, Public Transport, A Secret File, Searching for Ola, Your Excellency the Mayor.”

She was named “The Last Egyptian Dancer” by the American magazine Newsweek.

Personal Life

Actress Dina announced that she has been married 9 times. Her first marriage was to one of her colleagues in the Reda Folklore Band. Then she married businessman Samir Abdullah. The third marriage was to the late director Sameh El-Bagouri in the period between 1998 and 2001, from whom she had her only son, Ali. Dina was also married to businessman Hossam Abu Al-Futouh for a year and a half, and their marriage ended in divorce in 1993. She also married businessman Wael Abu Hussein in 2011, and their marriage lasted 8 years and then they separated. As for the rest of her marriages, Dina refused to announce them, and they were all from outside the artistic community.

Dina is the sister of retired singer Rita, who worked in the field of singing in the eighties, and then decided to retire and wear the niqab.
