Amr Waked
During his studies, he joined the university's theater team and acted on graduation projects for his colleagues in the directing department. He presented several plays, including: "Carmen, Goblins of Hamza and Fatima, and Oedipus." He also joined the actor preparation workshop at the university for two and a half years.
His artistic debut came when director Hani Khalifa recommended him to director Osama Fawzi, who assigned him a role in the movie “The Devils Paradise.” After that, he presented many films such as “Friends or Business, From the Look of an Eye, Deal of the Fish, Tito, The Best Times, My Aunt France, Deer’s Blood, Talk of Love, Ibrahim Al-Abyad, The Traveler, and The Monkey Speaks.”
As for television drama, he presented various series, including: “Morning and Evening Talk,” “A Matter of Principle,” “Street Children,” “Critical Moments,” “Special Show,” “The Group,” “Doors of Fear,” “The Second Wife,” and “The Harbaya.”
In 2005, he launched into the world, where he participated alongside the star George Clooney in the movie “Syriana”. After that, he participated in foreign works of art, including the films: “X-Men: The Last Stand, The Father and the Foreigner, Geostorm, Wonder Woman, Under Spanish Skies, and The Construction of the Alhambra.” In addition to the series: “House of Saddam, Marco Polo, Riviera, Ramy”.
The Joint United Nations Program to Combat HIV/AIDS chose him to be a goodwill ambassador for the program in the Middle East and North Africa region.
Amr Waked participated in many social activities, including the “Together for Children” campaign and the “Together Against AIDS” campaign launched by UNICEF. He was also chosen by the United Nations Joint Program to Combat AIDS to be a goodwill ambassador for the program in the region. Middle East and North Africa.
Amr Waked was chosen as a member of the Dubai International Film Festival jury in 2011.
Personal life
At the beginning of his career, the artist Amr Waked married a French woman named Louisana Lopilato, with whom he had a son named “Yassin,” before he later separated from her. Then he married Egyptian artist Sarah Shaheen in 2015.
