Ahmed Helmy began his artistic career through television drama, where he participated in the series “Welad Nas” in 1993. He then moved away from art for several years because he joined the army to perform military service. He then worked as a director of children’s programs on the Egyptian Satellite Channel, before the channel’s president, Sanaa Mansour, chose him to present the children’s programs “Childish Games” and “Darbaka” in 1998.

 

After his success, director Sherif Arafa chose him to participate in his first film in 1999, which was “Aboud on the Borders” with the late artist Alaa Wali El Din. He subsequently participated in many films, including: “Why Did You Make Me Love You,” Omar 2000, “The Beholder,” “A Journey of Love,” and “The Snake and Ladder.” Before he played starring roles in several successful films such as: “Saye Bahr,” “Zaki Shan,” “Industrial Bump,” “Zarf Tariq,” “She Made Me a Criminal,” “Keda Reda,” “Sorry for the inconvenience,” “1000 Mabrouk,” “Black Honey,” “Bulbul Hayran,” X Large, Made in Egypt. "Twist and turn, a dying imagination, and another one."

 

On television, Ahmed Helmy participated in the series: “Cinderella, Critical Moments, Al-Gamaa, Operation Messi, and The Choice.” He also had a large share of radio serials, including: “Salah Al-Khair, What Happened, O Omar, Zaki Lucky, Indian Shatta, Touch Shoulders, Turn and Come Back Again, Infallibility is in My Hands,” Groom wanted.”

 

In addition to acting, Ahmed Helmy sang in some of his films, which are: “55 Ambulance, Zaki Shan, Industrial Speed Bump, Zarf Tariq, and Wahed Thani.” He also had the experience of presenting programs several times through the programs “Children’s Play 1998, Darbaka 1998, Who Will Win the Bonbon 2004, A Few Children 2011, and Little Stars 2018.” He was also on the judging panel of the talent show “ArabsGotTalent” from 2013 to 2019.

 

Ahmed Helmy was chosen as the head of the jury for the Tropfest Arabia Short Film Festival in 2011.

 

In 2021, Ahmed Helmy was chosen as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations “UNICEF” for the “Food for Education” project.



Personal life

The artist Ahmed Helmy married the artist Mona Zaki in 2002, and they had 3 children: “LeLe”, “Salim” and “Younes”.
