He began his artistic career as a violinist in Amr Diab's band. Then he co-founded the “Wama” singing group with his friends Ahmed Al-Shami, Mohamed Nour, and Nader Hamdi, and together they presented several albums, namely: “Oh Night, Ya Ghali Alia, I’m Going to Come, Once Upon a Time.” After a while, Ahmed Fahmy released a solo album entitled “Jet Fi Bali,” in addition to a collection of solo songs.
In the field of acting, he played his first starring role in the movie “Naama Bay” in 2007, and after that he participated in many films such as: “Without Control, Grandpa My Love, A Killer Photographer, and The American Game.” Television drama also had a number of artistic works, through the series “Red Lines,” “Public Secret,” “The Preacher,” “Brothers,” “My Way,” “Forced Marriage,” “Samra,” “Al-Mizan,” “For the Highest Price,” “I Am Famous,I Am the Traitor,” “The Haremlek,” “Light Black,” and “Every Time We part, reading the cup, the choice, between the lines.”
In addition to acting and singing, Ahmed Fahmy presented many programs, which are: “Arab Idol 2013, Arab Idol 2014, Arab Idol 2016, Every Day 2016, Hit of the Season 2017, Qaada Rijalah 2018, Hadath of the Season 2018, Stay Up with You at Home 2020, The Best Talk” 2022".

The artist Ahmed Fahmy married his colleague at the Higher Institute of Music, singer Amira Farag, and he had two children with her, “Omar” and “Hassan.”
