During the filming of the movie, there was a scene depicting the wedding ceremony of the hero and heroine. The audience was surprised that Laila and Anwar had already tied the knot two days ago in the Sharia Court of First Instance in Egypt. The couple’s marriage lasted for 7 years, and despite the fact that they presented many successful films, their personal relationship was tense, due to Anwar Wagdy’s nervousness and extreme jealousy, which was most of the time artistic rather than emotional jealousy. Until the end came when producer Ahmed Salem asked Laila Murad to co-star in one of his films, to show jealousy on Anwar Wagdy, who left the marital home and refused to return unless his wife terminated the contract. However, promotional campaigns for the film had begun to spread, and Mohamed Fawzy began composing the film’s songs, so the producer refused attempts to terminate the contract. Anwar Wagdy returned home with the intention of ending the marriage, which made him divorce his wife in 1954 for a very strange reason. Where Laila Murad woke up one night to the sound of breaking dishes in the kitchen, so she went out to him and found Anwar Wagdy screaming: “The house has no cumin, lady.” She said: “So What, Anwar?! We can send someone to buy some.” Anwar shouted: “ So what?! Well, you are divorced, Laila.” Thus, one of the most famous and strangest love stories between artists ended.
